Advantages and precautions of CNC lathes

From: Back to list
CNC machining is a better processing technology for our lathe. It is a better choice to have this kind of equipment. It has the advantage of comparing with more. It can process most of the machining operations and it is completely After the lathe is programmed, it is completely processed by the equipment itself, which saves a lot of manpower. Let ’s take a look at the specific advantages.
Advantages of CNC machining:

1 Reduce the number of tooling a lot, and do not need complicated tooling to process complex shaped parts. If you want to change the shape and size of the part, you only need to modify the part processing program, which is suitable for the development and modification of new products.

2 Stable processing quality, high processing accuracy, high repeat accuracy, adapt to the processing requirements of the aircraft.

3 The production efficiency is higher in the case of multiple varieties and small batches, which can reduce the time for production preparation, machine tool adjustment and process inspection, and reduce the cutting time due to the use of the optimal cutting amount.

4 It can process complex profiles that are difficult to process by conventional methods, and can even process some unobservable processing parts.

Although CNC processing has many advantages, there are precautions for the use of any equipment. So what do we need to pay attention to?

The following lists the precautions for CNC machining:

1. The selection of the knife point. When programming the knife path, the knife can be cut at any specified height and position. When the first knife is just processed, the amount of knife is often relatively large, and it is easy to cause a broken knife or a spring knife. The lower knife position is thick or the first layer of the lower knife is empty. Try to lower the knife outside the material. This problem must be paid attention to.

2. Grabbing, springing, or dropping the knife. The amount of feed is too large. The tool clamping length is too long. This phenomenon often occurs when the tool diameter is small. When the corner radius and the tool radius are the same, the external dimensions are likely to be inaccurate. It is called to grab the knife ------- You can use a smaller diameter knife to layer the clear angle, and then change the large knife to the side to solve. When the depth is lower, it can be processed in layers.

3. Over-cutting inspection. Over-cutting is a frequently occurring problem, which requires special attention. The solution is to simulate the toolpath again and check repeatedly in various directions. The toolpath without inspection is not allowed to be machined. When contour milling, improper selection of the cutting point will cause overcutting. You can change the cutting point to avoid it.
